US ENJOY VISITS MAKHANA PROCESSING UNITS HT CORRESPONDENT Patna, January 22
THE US Consulate General Henry V Jardine, who is in the state capital holding a road show, visited the Shakti Sudha Industries at the Patliputra Industrial Area to have a first hand feel of the process of providing a structured shape to makhana procurement and backward linkage programme offered for the benefit of marginal farmers involved in cultivating the monopoly crop.
Appreciating the initiative of Satyajit Kumar Singh, the US Consulate General said that the development of food processing sector was vital not only for the growth of the state but also bringing about a change in the lives of those involved in the farming of the unique corp. He was also impressed by the international standard facilities at the factory. Interestingly, Shakti Sudha is the first project passed by the state Investment Promotion Board to take shape on ground.
